Day 1 - Fáilte go Gaillimh – Welcome to Galway

Travel by train from Dublin City to Galway, enjoying the changing landscapes as you head west. On arrival, meet your guide, drop off your bags, and get acquainted with Galway City, known as the City of the Tribes and your home for the next two nights. Set out on a guided walking tour to explore the city’s lively streets, history, and culture, before enjoying free time to shop, sample fantastic locally sourced food, and soak up some traditional Irish music in Galway’s famous pubs.

Day 2 - Soak up the “savage beauty” of Connemara

Today is all about experiencing the wild landscapes and living traditions of Connemara. Meet a local farmer and watch a captivating sheepdog demonstration, showcasing generations of farming skill. Continue on to Kylemore Abbey, where you’ll have time to wander the peaceful grounds and beautifully restored Walled Gardens. Along the way, learn about the Irish language and why it continues to thrive in this region, before rounding off the day with a taste of Poitín, Connemara’s famous local spirit.

Day 3 - West Clare, the Cliffs of Moher & the Aran Islands

Start the day with a coffee stop in the seaside village of Kinvara, soaking up the relaxed coastal atmosphere. Then set out on a boat cruise beneath the towering Cliffs of Moher, rising over 700 feet above the Atlantic. Continue on to the Aran Islands, where you’ll spend a half day exploring Inis Oírr by bike, horse and cart, or on foot. As evening approaches, return to the mainland for time on top of the Cliffs of Moher, followed by a stop in Lahinch, Ireland’s surf town, for a well-earned soft-serve ice cream. The day ends with an overnight stay overlooking the beach at Spanish Point.

A tour boat sails near the coastal cliffs and a tall sea stack under a clear blue sky on a Cliffs Cruise from Galway to the Aran Islands.

Day 4 - The Dingle Peninsula

Cross the River Shannon by drive-on, drive-off ferry and continue along one of Ireland’s most spectacular coastal routes on the Dingle Peninsula, where rugged cliffs and sweeping ocean views steal the show. Enjoy an extended lunch and shopping break in the colourful town of Dingle, known for its friendly atmosphere and local craft shops. In the evening, arrive in Killarney, where the day is brought to life with an Irish dance and traditional music show.

Day 5 - Local Day in Killarney

Today is yours to enjoy Killarney at your own pace. Choose from a range of optional activities—play a round of golf, unwind with a spa day, head out on a scenic hike, or rent a bike to explore the surrounding countryside. If you prefer, you can also join your driver for a short half-day tour of Killarney’s local highlights. If you’ve chosen the 5 day tour, the day ends with a relaxing cross-country train journey back to Dublin, a perfect chance to reflect on the adventure so far.

Day 6 - O’er the Cork and Kerry Mountains

Leaving Killarney via the National Park, travel through the dramatic Cork and Kerry Mountains into West Cork, a beautiful region dotted with lively towns and villages known for their music, food, and strong sense of community. Enjoy an extended coffee stop in the seaside town of Kinsale, before heading to Cork City for free time to explore St Patrick’s Street, the English Market, Oliver Plunkett Street, and a stroll along the River Lee. Later, drop into a local pub, pull up a barstool, and enjoy a chat with one of Cork’s famously friendly characters. The day ends with a relaxing train journey back to Dublin if you decided to go for the 6-day tour.

Day 7 - Midleton Distillery & Cobh

After what’s sure to have been a lively Friday night in Cork City, the journey continues to the historic harbour town of Cobh, once the departure point for millions of Irish emigrants seeking new lives overseas. Learn about this powerful chapter of history at the Titanic Experience Cobh, before heading to Midleton Distillery, the home of Irish whiskey, for a guided tour of this iconic site. The day concludes with a relaxing train journey back to Dublin to complete this 7 day tour.

Four whiskey glasses with amber liquid rest on a Jameson-branded tasting mat, surrounded by water glasses on a wooden table—a classic scene often enjoyed during Ireland West tours.
