Ireland West and South Itinerary

Day 1 - Failte go Gaillimh - Welcome to Galway

After taking the train from Dublin to the vibrant “City of the Tribes,” you’ll meet your guide, drop off your bags, and get acquainted with your new home for the next two nights. Enjoy a guided walking tour through Galway’s colorful streets before spending some free time exploring on your own — shop local, listen to traditional Irish music, and savor delicious food sourced right from the region.

Day 2 - Soak up the "savage beauty" of Connemara

Experience the wild beauty of Connemara, a region famed for its stunning landscapes. Meet a local farmer and watch a lively sheepdog demonstration – a window into traditional rural life in Ireland – before exploring the serene grounds of Kylemore Abbey and its beautiful walled gardens. Discover the enduring strength of the Irish language in this unique area, and finish the day with a taste of poitín (“Irish moonshine”), a traditional local spirit.

Day 3 - West Clare, Cliffs of Moher & Aran Islands

See West Clare, the Cliffs of Moher, and the Aran Islands – some of Ireland’s most beautiful natural sights. Start your day with a coffee in the charming seaside town of Kinvara before cruising beneath the towering 700-foot Cliffs of Moher. Spend the afternoon exploring Inis Oírr, the smallest of the Aran Islands, by bike, horse and cart, or on foot. In the evening, take in the breathtaking views from atop the cliffs, then enjoy a soft-serve ice cream in Lahinch, Ireland’s surf town. End your day with a peaceful overnight stay overlooking the beach at Spanish Point.

Day 4 - Dingle Peninsula

Journey across the River Shannon on a drive-on, drive-off ferry as you make your way to the breathtaking Dingle Peninsula. Experience one of Ireland’s most scenic coastal drives, then enjoy an extended lunch and shopping break in the colorful town of Dingle. Continue to Killarney for an evening filled with the lively rhythms of an Irish dance and traditional music show.

Day 5 - Local Day in Killarney

Enjoy a leisurely local day in Killarney, where the choice is entirely yours. Play a round of golf, unwind with a spa day, head out on a scenic hike, or rent a bike to explore at your own pace. If you prefer, join your driver for a relaxed half-day tour of Killarney’s charming local highlights.

Day 6 - "O'er the Cork and Kerry Mountains"

Travel “o’er the Cork and Kerry Mountains” as you leave Killarney through its stunning National Park and journey into West Cork — a region known for its charming towns, lively music, and delicious cuisine. Enjoy a leisurely coffee stop in the beautiful seaside town of Kinsale before exploring Cork City at your own pace, wandering St. Patrick’s Street, the English Market, and the banks of the River Lee. Finish the day like a local by popping into a cozy pub, grabbing a barstool, and chatting with one of Cork’s famously friendly characters.

Day 7 - Midleton Distillery and Cobh

After what’s sure to be a lively Friday night in Cork City, head south to the historic harbor town of Cobh, the departure point for millions of Irish emigrants seeking new lives abroad. Visit the Titanic Experience Cobh to learn about Ireland’s emigration story, then tour the famous Midleton Distillery — the true home of Irish whiskey. End your journey with a relaxing train ride back to Dublin, reflecting on the stories and flavors that have shaped Ireland’s soul.
