Here is a short list of our most Frequently Asked Questions. For more information or support, please send us an email or call.

A: Day Tours (Connemara and the Burren) leave from the Galway Coach Station (at the corner of Forster Street and Fairgreen Road). A pick-up service is also available from most accommodation around Galway City. Please contact us to reserve your spot. Aran Islands Shuttle Service leaves from in front of the the Victoria Hotel on Queen Street.

A: Our day tours depart at 10am and return approximately 5:30pm. We make sure to spend plenty of time at each stop to make sure you have the best experience. The Cliffs of Moher and Connemara each deserve ample time to really enjoy their unique beauty, therefore not allowing to see both in the same day. Have you checked out our 2-day tour special?

A: If you have purchased tickets online for the Connemara or Burren Day Tour, you may show your confirmation to the driver – head straight to the coach station. If you have purchased online for the Aran Islands Shuttle Service, visit the Lally Tours Ticket Office at 4 Forster Street to pick up your paper vouchers.

A: A camera – You’ll see many beautiful landscapes and iconic Irish sights, so many guests bring their own camera. Comfortable Shoes – On each of our tours, we make stops that can require lengthy walks. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes so you don’t miss out on Ireland’s hidden gems! Weatherproofing – If the forecast is showing anything other than 100% sunshine, you should probably bring a rain jacket. All of our coaches have air-conditioning, but in the winter months it is advised to bring a scarf and/or gloves to keep you warm and snug when you’re outside in the elements.

A: Yes, there are plenty of stops for lunch and refreshment options. Lunch is not included in ticket price.

A: We will do what we can to arrange alternative transport for you, but sometimes that is not possible. Please set that alarm and make sure your phone is charged!

A: Gratuities are not required. However we think our drivers and guides have a tough job to do, so if you enjoyed your trip, feel free to tip your driver appropriately – it is truly appreciated.

A: Yes. You will need to verify enrollment in your home university. Please bring your valid Student I.D.

Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 16.

This is in line  with most tour company policies, and also mirrored across the airline industry.

We absolutely welcome service dogs but unfortunately, we cannot accept any other animals on board.

This is not a decision which has been made lightly, and is mostly because of health and safety reasons. We also take other passengers comfort into consideration. We are pet owners ourselves, but unfortunately we must prioritise the advice given to us by our Health and Safety consultants.

A: Our hop-on hop-off city tour departs from the top of Eyre Square (just beneath the flags of the 14 tribes) and runs through Galway. Ask your driver or guide how often the bus returns, so you know when to be picked up. Your ticket is valid for 24 hours, so make sure you hop-off wherever strikes your interest!

A: If you’re going on a Day Tour (Cliffs of Moher, Connemara, or Cliffs of Moher Express), just show up to the coach station with your reservation name or e-tickets on your mobile phone. If you’re heading into the Aran Islands, call into our office (4 Forster Street) with your reservation name, we’ll take care of the rest.

A: We will do our best to arrive to Galway at the proposed time. However, due to circumstances out of our control (ie: traffic or roadwork delays) we cannot guarantee the arrival time. Please notify your driver if you have a bus/train connection that may be of concern.

A: Our coaches do not have a restroom on board. However, we make plenty of rest and toilet breaks.

A: Cliffs of Moher or Connemara Day Tour Yes, you can bring carry on bags with you, and we have plenty of storage under the coaches where we can store larger pieces of luggage for the day. Aran Islands It is only suitable to bring smaller carry-on luggage and overnight bags.

A: Tours beginning in Galway: Yes, tour tickets may be purchased from the driver on the day of the tour. However, be sure to arrive early, as tours regularly sell out. Tours beginning in Dublin: Tickets must be purchased online, in advance.

A: Yes! Groups of 5-9 guests receive 5% off (using code: GRP5), 10-14 guests receive 10% off (using code: GRP10), 15-19 guests receive 15% off (using code: GRP15), and 20+ guests receive 20% off (using code: GRP20) on tours from Galway to Cliffs of Moher, Connemara, and Cliffs of Moher Express.

Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to take bikes on the Aran Islands Shuttle Bus. 

The Aran Islands Shuttle Bus departs from the bus stop next to the Victoria Hotel in Galway City.

Depending on traffic, you can expect the journey between Galway City and Rossaveal Harbour to last between 45-60mins.

If you are making an overnight trip to the Aran Islands, you are welcome to take 1 x reasonably sized luggage bag with you on the shuttle bus. Should you require extra luggage space please make sure to contact us before travelling so that we can accommodate you and your group.
