Fáilte go h-Éireann, NFL! (Welcome to Ireland, NFL!)
2025 marks an epic year for the history books – This is the first year that the NFL will play an in-season game on Irish soil. While there are have been multiple college football games played here in Ireland, and despite the NFL having hundreds of Irish connections and roots to Ireland, 2025 is finally the year the NFL actually plays an official game here, and we’re going all out to mark the occasion!
So, how are we going to do this? The only way we know how, the west of Ireland way!!
Duration: 7 Days / 6 Nights
Overnights: 2 x Nights on Aran Islands, 1 x Night in Westport, 3 x Nights in Galway City
Key Destinations: Burren, Lahinch, Cliffs of Moher (from the top), Inis Oirr Island, Connemara, Westport, Doolough Valley, Achill Island, Galway City and Game Day in Dublin City
Unfortunately we do not have direct access to game tickets, but we do know that there will be tickets available from June 17th via this link: https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-european-games-on-sale-dates-confirmed
You are welcome to arrive into Ireland whichever way suits you best.
Shannon Airport – This tour is heavily focussed on the west of Ireland, making Shannon Airport the optimal choice.
Dublin Airport – Another great option, and might have more availability in terms of direct flights to Ireland, but there will be slightly longer travel times on Day’s 1 and 7.
Cork Airport – Further away from the action than Dublin and Shannon, but we can help make it work.
Belfast Airport – Furthest away but, again, we can help make it work if that’s the best option for you.

If flying into Shannon Airport that morning, we will collect you from the airport. We’ll hop over to the seaside town of Lahinch for some breakfast before taking a couple hours to explore the Burren region. By lunchtime we will be visiting the Cliffs of Moher (to get some of that sweet west of Ireland sea breeze), and shortly after we will board a passenger ferry that will take us out to Inis Oirr, the smallest of the three Aran Islands.
If flying into Dublin (or coming from Dublin city that morning), we will arrange transport for you to get across to Galway City (approx 2.5hours drive). On arrival, you will meet one of our Lally Tours hosts who will help get everything settled and sorted and help get you to the Aran Islands to meet the rest of the group.
Later in the evening we will host a drinks reception where everyone will meet up for the first time and get excited for the trip that lay ahead.
Overnight 1/2 on Inis Oirr, Aran Islands
An entire day to chill out and explore the best of Inis Oirr, totally at your own pace. Although it’s the smallest of the three Aran Islands, it is absolutely packed with things to see and do.
There are 3 bars, 2 hotels, 1 shop and a handful of small cafe’s. The main spots to visit on the island are the remote lighthouse, the Plassey shipwreck, exploring the furthest southern point or visting any/all of the dozens of ancient monuments that back back to over 2000+ years ago. You can do so by bike/e-bike, by taking a horse and cart tour or by foot.
If you fancy a treatment, a local family offer highly rated hot stone massages, seaweed baths, pedicures and facials etc. If you fancy a dip in the sea, just let us know and we’ll point you to the best swimming spots. Or if you fancy just belly-ing up to the bar and hang with the locals, that’s totally fine too!
Remember – You’ll have a host with you all along the way helping take care and make sure you get the most out of your time while on this magical little slice of the world.
Overnight Inis Oirr, Aran Islands 2/2
Taking the morning ferry off the island, we venture north into the region of Connemara and onto the gorgeous little town of Westport.
Connemara is a mountainous region in the west of Ireland full of lakes and forests and is also the largest Irish/Gaelic speaking region in Ireland. This baron landscape had little value to the British while we were under their occupation, and this is why this part of Ireland still maintains most of of the ancient heritage and traditions that give Ireland it’s wild, wonderful and unique national identity.
We will stop into some of our favourite villages, scenic photo spots and maybe a small little pub or two for some local refreshments.
Before long we’ll find ourselves checking into our next hotel in the middle of the town of Westport.
Overnight Westport 1/1
On this morning you will have a couple choices: Go to Achill, or take “a-chill” day..
Option 1 – Achill – Board the bus for a half-day trip to Achill Island – This is a fairly remote island in Co. Mayo which is accessible via a small bridge. The island is home to approx 2,600 residents, Irelands second highest set of cliffs and about a dozen of the finest golden beaches in the world. You might recognise the beach in Keem Bay which was made famous by the movie “Banshees of Inisherin”, 50% of which was filmed on this island.
Option 2 – “A-Chill” Day – Relax in bed and enjoy a later breakfast. When suits, take a wander around the stores in Westport Town, and/or walk out to Westport House and Walled Gardens. Westport House is Ireland’s answer to Downton Abbey — if Downton had pirate blood, sweeping Atlantic views, and a whiskey bar. You’ll have until approx 3pm to chill before being collected by the group coming down from Achill.
After we all reunite we will point ourselves south to Galway, our home for the next 3 nights.
Overnight Galway 1/3
Just like us Irish do when we go to games or concerts in Croke Park, we will drive up and down in the one day.
We’ll all board the coach and make the 2 hour drive across to Dublin City. Don’t worry, we’ll get you all there in plenty of time ahead of the game and with plenty of time to take part in all the pre-gaming and pre-amble.
Game time is 2:30 PM local time (9:30 AM ET)
Immediately following the game we will board the coach and hop back across to Galway. We’ll have you back in Galway in plenty time ahead of closing time at the bars, if that’s what you want to do!
Overnight Galway 2/3
This will be the final full day of the trip and this is a fantastic city to wake up in to get any last Irish experiences or shopping taken care of,
I guess Day 6 will very much depend on how your Day 5 goes, and how late night 5 went.. Regardless, this day is a very chill final day in what many regard as the best city / large town in Ireland.
We will do a few group activities during the day, but you will very much have plenty of time to explore and discover Galway at your own pace. There will be options of walking tours, ebike tours, food tours etc or just chill.
Later this evening we will gather together for one last time for our final group dinner of the trip and finalise all plans for the next day, the departure day.
Overnight Galway 3/3
If you are flying out of Shannon – We will provide a shuttle service direct from the Galway Hotel to Shannon Airport in time for all transatlantic flights departing that day
If you are flying out of Dublin – We will provide your transport via coach to Dublin Airport. There are multiple time options available, so we will plan to get you there on whatever transfer suits your flight best
If you are staying on in Dublin – We will provide you with train tickets to get you straight from Galway City Ceannt Station to Dublin City Heuston Station.
If you are staying on in Galway – Happy days, we’ll see you for a pint in Taaffes 😀
