This premium small group tour is certainly the most comprehensive day trip available in Ireland! You get to experience rugged Connemara, the wild Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher cruise, as well as the mysterious Burren region – all in just one day!
How is this possible? The secret is in the tour route. Your guide takes you through a series of one-way trips on multiple ferries, all supported by your dedicated tour driver and luxury midi-coach. This allows us to circle all of Galway Bay, hence our in-house nickname for the tour – “Galway Bay In A Day”.
This is an action packed tour that shows the best spots and hidden gems in the west of Ireland in just a few hours. Departing for a Cliffs of Moher boat tour from Galway, you’ll then discover the Burren, explore Inis Orr (the smallest of the three Aran Islands), and journey through South Connemara before we make our way along the Wild Atlantic Way through County Clare back to Galway city.
What makes this day trip truly unique is that it is a looped route, so you are experiencing a completely different region of the West of Ireland in every hour that passes. You won’t see the same thing twice!
(If you’re running short on time, have a look at our Galway to Cliffs of Moher Half-Day Express tour instead.)
On this tour, you’ll get to experience so much of the West of Ireland in such a short amount of time. Along with your trip to Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher cruise from Galway, major attractions you’ll pass by include Salthill, Rossaveal, Doolin, Ballyvaughan, the Wild Atlantic Way, Coastal Road, Blackhead Lighthouse, and Dunguaire Castle.
We will take the scenic route underneath the Cliffs of Moher with an exceptional sightseeing cruise. This jaw-dropping experience truly puts the Cliffs of Moher into perspective. Prepare to feel tiny!
Length: 60 minutes
*Please note that the ferry crossings and Cliffs Cruise are both weather dependent and as such the tour route is subject to change. On rare occasions, only once or twice a year, the advertised route and/or timings at stops may have to be altered without notice.*
Upon arriving on Inis Oírr, you’ll be greeted by golden sandy beaches, turquoise water, and maybe even the island’s resident dolphin, Dusty! This tranquil collection of fishing villages is also home to a burial mound dating back to 1,500 BC, a medieval church ruin buried half in the sand, and a three-storey tower built within a Stone Age fort.
Along the shore, you’ll encounter a shipwreck from 1960, breathtaking views of Connemara and the Burren, and one of Ireland’s most beautiful beaches. Whichever path you take on the island, you’ll be sure to stumble upon history, traditions, and a good cup of tea.
Length: approximately 2.5-3 hours
We will take the scenic coastal route along South Connemara to Rossaveal Harbour. This region is steeped in history and culture, and is one of the few areas in Ireland where the Irish Language is still used as a primary language.
We limit this small group tour to no more than 20 guests at a time.
We can accommodate larger groups as part of a private experience. Please Contact Us to arrange this for you.
